MISSION STATEMENT
Mesa State Gay-Straight Alliance strives to advocate fairness and equality for all students regardless of sexual orientation. We serve the needs of gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender, questioning, and straight ally (GLBTQA) students. Our goal is to provide a campus and community free of homophobia and prejudice, where people can feel safe just being themselves. This club serves as support for students with similar goals.

WHAT THE ALLIANCE DOES
Through programs and presentations the Gay-Straight Alliance strives to educate students, faculty, staff, and the community about issues facing gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender people. We seek to open dialogues between the gay and straight communities, and have issues facing GLBT people recognized. We also hold events to give students a chance to interact with other GLBTA people, such as movie nights, potlucks, and social outings.

Feel free to contact the Gay-Straight Alliance for more information about the club and our upcoming events, or come to one of our meetings. We normally meet Wednesday of every other week at 6:00 p.m.(except holidays) Meetings are held in the College Center located on the Mesa State College main campus. Please check with the Information Desk to find the room we're in.
